Weekend hustle and bustle

This weekend was quiet entertaining.. Im not sure how we pulled Saturday off with a 2 month old, but we did it! We started out with quiet family time at home, followed by attending Addison's 1 year old birthday party. It was obviously, Landon's first birthday party he attended, so we were excited about that. The party was from like 11:30 to 1 or so, and it was a fun time. Then, Ben and I took Landon home for a nap and feeding, and we both worked out and Ben did a little shopping.  We then stopped by a Christmas get together at the Prouts house from about 6-8,  and concluded the evening with more qualiity time with friends at the the Cornwells house, where we enjoyed pizza and cookies.:)

Landons first babysitter....

Today was a big day for us! Landon spent a couple of hours with the babysitter we are going to use when I go back to work! This was the first time he has been with anyone but  family, and it went wonderfully. I handled it better than I expected, and Diana, his babysitter, says he was a joy to watch! Diana says he acted great and hardly cried at all. It was also wonderful, because I had a couple of hours to myself, which I spent at the gym. I took a centergy class for the first time in over a year, and I made it through the first 3 songs of step ( a class I usually teach, but havent done in over a year! )What a great day it was today.

LAndons first Santa visit

We had a great weekend with Landon! We were pretty relaxed and didnt have to go anywhere or do anything stressful or time consuming this weekend, and it was nice. Just enjoying our baby boy was just magical this weekend. It started out kinda stressful, because Landon was dealing with some sort of intestinal discomfort- possibly gas or reflux, and then turned into a problem with side effect from a medication, which was quickly resolved once we stopped it. We visited some friends this Friday, who had us over for wonderful fajitas, and even though Landon wasnt himself, we had a great time. Saturday and sunday were better and better for Landon. His temperment and alertness was one of a kind today. Ben and I had not seen him so alert, and we have been noticing more and more mini smiles and grins (which we only saw before with gas or when he was dreaming... )
our friend, Shushura let us know that Santa was at the Avenue this afternoon! So this led us to change plans and make our way down to Books a million, where santa was ( instead of outside- because of the weather). Landon did fabulous not only with Santa, but with our visit with Shushura, her mom Laura, and little Pierce !LAndon really handled all of the socialization really well, and had a great time sitting on daddys lap, smiling more then we have ever seen him do. He even hung out with Pierson for a while! It was a wonderful day.
He does seem to be sleeping better this last couple of days! Thank God- lets pray it lasts!

Landons First Christmas Parade

Yesterday, we went downtown to the Coweta County Christmas Parade. It was sooo cold and Landon slept in his stroller for 90% of it, but it was such a special time for us. Ben and I had so much fun just being there with Landon, and talking to the other parents around us. It was a great way to kick of the Christmas season!
